Giggys Website Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Giggys Inc., a corporation incorporated under the federal laws of Canada (the Canada Business Corporations Act), with its registered office in the Province of Ontario ("Giggys," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses personal information about visitors to this website, giggys.app (the "Site").
This Policy covers only the Site — browsing it, joining a waitlist, applying for a job, or contacting support through it. It does not cover the Giggys mobile app, which presents and is governed by its own separate Privacy Policy when you create an account.
Waitlist signup: the email address you provide, and whether you signed up as a shopper or a business.
Career applications: your name, email address, and any portfolio, GitHub, or LinkedIn links and statement of interest you provide, plus a résumé file if you choose to attach one.
Support messages: your name, email address, the category you select, and your message.
Bot-detection signal: an automated device/browser attestation from Google Firebase App Check (reCAPTCHA Enterprise), used only to tell real visitors apart from automated form submissions.
Usage analytics: aggregate, non-identifying data about how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, approximate city/country-level location, device and browser type) via Google Analytics.
Approximate location: your country, derived from your IP address, used only to show the rewards brands available where you are. The country code is held in your browser for the length of your visit and is not stored by us.
To add you to the relevant waitlist and let you know when the Giggys app becomes available; to review career applications and contact candidates; to respond to support inquiries; to detect and block automated or abusive form submissions; and to understand overall Site traffic so we can improve it.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing email beyond the waitlist-launch notice you sign up for.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
Google Cloud / Firebase — hosts the Site and stores the form submissions and résumé files described above.
Google Analytics — receives aggregate usage data as described in Section 8.
Cloudflare — receives your IP address when the Site asks it which country you are visiting from, as described in Section 1.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Waitlist entries are kept until the relevant app launches and you either join or ask to be removed. Career applications are kept for the hiring process and a reasonable period afterward in case a similar role opens. Support messages are kept as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. You can ask us to delete any of this sooner — see Section 7.
Giggys is a Canadian company, but our infrastructure providers (principally Google Cloud/Firebase and Google Analytics) are based in, or process data in, the United States. By using the Site, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in a country other than your own.
We rely on the security infrastructure provided by Google Cloud/Firebase, including encryption of data in transit and at rest as provided by that platform. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at support@giggys.app.
The Site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies and similar identifiers in your browser to distinguish visitors and measure aggregate site usage. You can block or delete these cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not affect your ability to use the Site, join the waitlist, or submit a form. The Site also keeps your country code in your browser's session storage for the length of your visit; it is cleared when you close the tab or window.
The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information through it from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information through the Site, contact us at support@giggys.app so we can address it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the "Last Updated" date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
